Monday Intel N°1: Five open seats, one pattern.

Five active searches on the desk this week. What they share: in-person seats, early-stage companies, and a premium on ownership.

Every Monday we publish one honest observation from the searches on our desk. No market-wide claims, no invented benchmarks. Just what we are actually seeing.

What is on the desk

Five active searches: three engineering, two go-to-market. All five are in-person, split between San Francisco and New York City. Every company is early stage: pre-seed, seed, or bootstrapped.

The pattern

Every mandate asks for the same thing in different words: ownership. Founding engineers who carry architecture through production. A GTM engineer who builds the revenue engine rather than just runs it. An account executive who is the first, not the fifth.

  • Base compensation across the five seats ranges from $100K to $300K
  • Two of the five searches offer visa sponsorship (H-1B, O-1, OPT)
  • Three of the five do not sponsor visas
  • All five are in-person; none are remote or hybrid

Why it matters

Early-stage, in-person, ownership-heavy seats narrow the pool fast. The candidates who fit them are not browsing job boards. They are found through calibration and direct relationships, which is exactly how these five searches are being run.

The seat is consequential or it is not on our desk.
